Juror Charged In Bribe


JT Wisell and Nancy McGee represented a client in a medical malpractice case on Long Island against a doctor alleged to have performed an unnecessary tonsillectomy. During the trial, the plaintiff’s father was improperly contacted by a juror who offered to engineer a verdict in plaintiff’s favor, for a percentage share of the verdict. Wisell reported the improper contact to the District Attorney, the juror was arrested and the case ended in a mistrial.
